Look at me. [Sure.] Look at me. [Sure.] I’m the captain mid-engine now.
Otherwise, I do like it. Sounds like a 996 RSR. The rear wing is an immense departure from the past 991 RSR. And those diffusers. No wonder they had to go MR. Should be able to bring the fight back in their GTE program.
This leaves Aston Martin and Corvette as the holdouts for the classic layouts. Wonder how the Porsche fares in the eventual nerf/buff mongering.

I wonder how the hell they get this around the rules. The GT was allowed because of the production car commitment, but what does Porsche do, call this a Cayman derivative? That said: heavy breathing. I’m excited, we’re getting back to silhouette cars again, and historically that’s been totally badass.

I think they just got a waiver.

This is the kind of shenanigans which will kill GTE.

But silhouette cars have always led to the death of their category (excluding series which are built specifically for such cars such as DTM or NASCAR).

That’s an awful lot of rear overhang for an MR config. I’m sure it’s pretty borderline, but I’m sure it’s still the conventional layout of the engine behind the transmission even if the CG’s on top of instead of behind the rear axle.

Waiver racing will kill GTE.

GT racing won’t die, the cars always get crazy given enough time under a given set of rules, and with BOP they’re always evolving anyway.

Yeah, contingent upon the promise of production as I understood it.

No but it will kill the category just like GT1.
